Should children have to do homework?

Two schoolchildren have hit the headlines this week after complaining about homework. Fourteen-year-old Aaron Parfitt organised a protest at his school over concerns he had that students were not being given enough homework, while 10-year-old Alex McTeer wrote to David Cameron to complain that homework got in the way of play time. Who was right? Should children under the age of 16 have to do homework?
