Coldest city in the world – in pictures

While the US recovers from the recent 'polar vortex', in the city of Yakutsk, locals continue daily life in -45C (-49F). With an extreme subarctic climate in Russia’s far east, Yakutsk is generally considered the coldest city in the world.
